Interview with Fleshgrinder
By: Paul Lewis
Very few bands today keep in vein of the old school thrash metal influence.  Blasphemous
Creation on the other hand is on a mission to bring the brutality back, the way metal should be.
Paul Lewis:  How's things been going for
Blasphemous Creation?
Fleshgrinder:  Very well thanks. We are playing
alot of gigs and we're getting alot of great reviews.
We've also had some record label interests and
we have appeared in international metal mags
such as Metal Maniacs, Pit, and BW&BK magazine.
We are in the works of a new demo that will be
released in spring of 08.
Paul:  I listened to your demo, Black Winter and I
enjoyed the raw sound. It's totally old school and it
reminds me of early Kreator…
Fleshgrinder:  Thanks, we like to keep it heavy and fast like the old German thrash metal
bands. As for the raw sound that wasn't on purpose. I produced the Black Winter CD myself
with some low quality recording equipment. Our next CD will be recorded professionally and to
the standards of today's metal sound. It’s still gonna be heavy and fast as fuck though.
Paul:  How many responses did you receive from the Metal Maniacs review?
Fleshgrinder:  We've received a few responses and alot of people bought our CD after
reading it. It’s good to know that people read the reviews.
Paul:  Are there any plans for a show in Texas anytime soon?
Fleshgrinder:  Yes we would like to come to Texas and play. We don’t have any plans right
now. We are probably gonna tour this summer and maybe we will make our way there. There’s
a pretty good metal scene over there and I think it would be cool to play there.
Paul:  Describe the Las Vegas scene; is there much
support for metal in Vegas?
Fleshgrinder:  Actually we are from Reno, NV so
we don't know much about the scene in Vegas. As
for the scene here there are not many metal bands
or people that listen to metal. Most people are into
Punk and shit like that. There are some good bands
here though like Existence and Legacy of War.
Death and Black Metal is like some new thing here.
Everyone here is like 20 years behind everyone
else, it’s really weird. We have a good following
though.
Paul:  What's your opinion of the thrash metal
resurgence?
Fleshgrinder:  I think its bad ass. People are bringing back the fuckin brutality to metal.
There's alot of whiny bands out there that claim to be metal and when you listen to them your
like, what the fuck is this shit? It’s good to see new bands coming out with the old school thrash
metal influence. Most of the bands seem to be coming from L.A. and the Bay Area. Europe
has alot of thrash metal bands too. It’s real exciting to discover all of these new bands that are
just as bad ass as bands like Kreator and Sodom.
Paul:  Any last words?
Fleshgrinder:  Death to the false ones, hail to the true! Check out our website at:
