Derrick: Right now we are working hard in
the studio on The End of Days and doing
some shows! Signed a deal with Dark Star
Records and working on the spring tour.

Blissfulviolet: How did Conquest get its
name? Tell us the story.

Derrick: Well the real story is that when I
was a kid about 13, I wrote a song one night

after I had been out most of the night listening to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath! I came home and
for some reason I sat down and wrote the song and then crashed, two weeks later I got a
guitar from this older guy I played hockey with and that’s how it all came about.

Blissfulviolet: The band has been through a few lineup changes but the current one is
pretty solid. What do you feel each member brings new to Conquest and how do you feel the
band has progressed since Conquest first started?

Derrick: This really is Conquest, we have always had great people in this band but what
these guys are able to do is just fucking crazy!!!

Blissfulviolet: You guys have been able to share the stage with some incredible metal acts.
Any interesting highlights or stories you wish to share with us?

Derrick: We have been on some very cool shows and as you know most good concerts all
have some stories but we always leave them in the moment, it’s just better that way. But one
of the most fun was the Stone Sour, Shadows Fall, Lacuna Coil and Conquest Jager shows!

Blissfulviolet: What can you tell us about the new upcoming Conquest CD, End of Days?
Derrick: Just about half way done and by far our best stuff; we are all very pumped about this
one.

Blissfulviolet: Do you feel this album brings something new to the table, compared to
previous Conquest releases?

Derrick: Our production on this one is very strong, and it has big song tunes that tell the
story of the end of days.

Derrick: It’s just what we do! It’s a great feeling jamming with these guys and we have a blast
every time we hit the stage.

| 2007 brought some great fortune for the St. Louis, Missouri thrashers known as Conquest. The band signed a deal with Dark Star records and will be releasing their 2nd full length CD, End of Days. They are also gearing up to tour soon as well. |
