Dawn of Wolves, how you guys formed the
band?

Dawn of Wolves: Dawn of Wolves began
under the name Viravoid. We played a simple
bay area thrash sound and released a 4 track
under the name Viravoid. We played a simple

Blissfulviolet: What influenced you guys to play in the vein of old thrash/death metal?
Dawn of Wolves: Mainly Germanic and Brazilian thrash but there are too many to name from
specific countries. The main bands that influenced our sound would be bands like Bathory,
Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, Hellhammer, Abigail, Possessed, Onslaught, Death, Sarcofago,
Sepultura......ect.

ep entilted "Death By Metal". After playing a few gigs we began to become deeper musicians
and decided to drop the bay area thrash sound for a darker more evil thrash sound. We then
decided that the name Viravoid just didn’t fit our new style of playing so we named ourselves
Dawn of Wolves because we feel it has a deeper meaning to it than Viravoid. We then
released another ep entilted "Plague Called Warfare". The months following that we would see
the end of our second guitarist (Pasty Necro) with the band, but we soon found another
guitarist (Cody Morbid) and began playing gigs again and went to the studio to record our
album... and here we are now...waiting for its release.

Blissfulviolet: What can you tell me about your first full length album, Thrash till death?
Dawn of Wolves: Hahaha...yeah you could say that but its more like “Thrash till your ears
are blown and your flesh is melted off your skin and all you can do is scream in agony of how
fucking metal we are.” We are all stunned on how good it sounds. Every song brings a
different impact to your mind until you are completely possessed. We hope we can get it to
metalheads all over the world.

Blissfulviolet: How has it been working with Infernal Kaos Productions?
Dawn of Wolves: It has been great so far, no bad things have happened and Thorgaard is a
great guy and very easy to work with.

Blissfulviolet: Yeah Thorgaard is an awesome guy. So when should we expect to see this
release and what plans do you guys have once the album is out?

Dawn of Wolves: The album is getting released on Halloween and we are having a release
show which is gonna be fucking awesome. Once the album is out we are just gonna do
everything we can to get it everywhere we can and just continue to write music, play shows and
hopefully get a tour going soon. We have also started writing music for the next D.O.W.
release.

Blissfulviolet: Could you tell us about your live
experience? What would one expect to encounter at a live

Dawn of Wolves: The D.O.W. live show is something to
see. Every show we play has a different element than the
one before. Our bass player (Stevenoden) got naked on
stage at a show in June. At other shows our bass player
has jumped into the crowd and moshed. We always just go
completely out of our minds....

Blissfulviolet: Naked? Sounds like you guys get way into
your music. Lol, so what type of qualities do you feel may
set you guys aside from other bands in your genre?

Dawn of Wolves: We have always known that we are
thrash metal band and are proud, but we have always had
trouble picking the thrash bands that we sound like
because our sound is a mixture of so many different

from other thrash acts. Alot of times we try to sing about things that have a bigger connection
with human existence rather than an a false existence, though we all love satanic and evil lyrics
and have written them in our songs along with our other topics. Our main topics for lyrics would
be anti religion, anti government, anti war, anti racism, rebillion, pride, and of course.....

Blissfulviolet: If you could organize your own tour for Dawn of Wolves, where would you go
in particular and what bands would you like to share the stage with?

Dawn of Wolves: We would try to tour everywhere we can. We would all love to tour places
like Norway, Sweden, Germany, Brazil, Japan...ect, but even touring in America would still be a
pleasure. If we had to pick bands to tour with we would pick bands like Toxic Holocaust,
Municipal Waste, Bludwulf, Nocturnal, Apokalyptic Raids, Merciless Death, Trench Hell,
Avenger of Blood.., but we would love to tour with the old school acts still around too.
