It’s been almost 25 years for the theatrical glam metal heads
known as Lizzy Borden. The band started as part of the same
scene that embraced bands such as Motley Crue, WASP and
Guns N’ Roses to name a few.
Without a doubt Lizzy Borden has held an underrated musical
career. Now with their latest release, Appointment With Death; if
given the right push I’m sure it will give the band the true acclaim
that they deserve.
The album is very catchy, melodic and dark; with death as the
main theme and Lizzy playing its character. Appointment with
Death is definitely an album that would be great to portray on
stage. The band also has a new look that is eye catching and
spooky, which can be seen in the detailed album cover.
As for the sound, Lizzy’s voice sounds as energetic as ever,
guitars are melodic but real heavy along with awesome double
kick drums. If you are a Lizzy Borden fan you will be pleased to
know that this is possibly the best album that the band has
released up to date. They have mastered to combine their old
sound and reinvent themselves along with a sound that today any
true fan of original metal can enjoy.
Some tracks worth checking out: Abnormal, Appointment With
Death, Under Your Skin, Somethins Crawlin.
